Week 7 – London Marathon Training Review

Well it was a good week because I was given the go ahead to start piling in some miles, but then bad because I started feeling poorly on Sunday and went downhill from there ending up at the doctors with a chest infection and a course of antibiotics. Panic has most definitely set in – half way point in the training and my longest run so far is 8 miles – not good…

Monday – nothing (ill)

Tuesday – physio/nothing (ill)

Wednesday – nothing (ill)

Thursday – nothing (ill)

Friday – nothing (ill)

Saturday – nothing (ill)

Sunday – nothing (ill)

Miles for the week – 0 miles – oops!

  1. You’ve seriously got my sympathy 😦 I’ve only managed 10.6m at most, and trying to balance enough running with injury prevention! Consider that I’m a GP, I’ve been amazingly lucky to escape illness this year too!
    From what I’ve seen of you through your blog, you’ve got enough base running fitness, and enough will and determination to get to and through marathon day without too much trouble.
